Frey Farms Produce, a Mount Vernon, Ill.-based grower-shipper, announced that it will continue its partnership with pallet and container pooling company CHEP.
Frey Farms transports pumpkins, watermelons and cantaloupes from facilities in Florida, Texas, Georgia, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Colorado and Michigan on CHEP pallets, according to a news release.
“CHEP provides several major benefits, including a cost-effective, heavy-duty, quality pallet. CHEP pallets are very solid, which minimizes in-transit shipping problems and promotes safety in handling. Additionally, being reusable, CHEP enhances sustainability and promotes green initiatives,” Sarah Telley, chief executive officer of Frey Farms, said in the release.
