Ag Against Hunger, Salinas, Calif., is looking for volunteers for its Nov. 7 gleaning.
Volunteers help collect high-quality, marketable produce that has been left behind after commercial harvest, according to a news release, and the food collected is transported to food banks and pantries in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties.
Volunteers can call (831) 755-1480 to find out where the next gleaning is and where to meet.
Volunteers are expected to contribute three hours â including transportation, orientation and the actual harvesting of crops â for the gleaning session, according to the news release.
