Transportation company Greatwide Logistics Services recently donated computer equipment to improve the lives of Dallas-area homeless people.

Dallas Life, a nonprofit charitable organization, plans to use the 40 computers, monitors, keyboards and mice to teach its residents computer skills to help them find employment, according to a news release.

Dallas-based Greatwide also contributed 45 hours of computer training.

“We are so grateful to Greatwide and so appreciative of everything they’ve done for us,” Jan Wilbanks, development director of Dallas Life, said in the release. “This generous donation will help us equip our computer lab to help our resi-dents develop the skills to re-enter the job market — or even just e-mail their families to let them know where they are.”
