Key Technology has introduced a business unit to help companies integrate third-party products, including Key’s sorting, conveying and processing equipment.

The Walla Walla, Wash.-based company’s Integrated Solutions Group also provides guidance for plant start-ups, and assists with a company‘s line — from receiving through packaging, according to a news release.

The group focuses on Key’s main markets, which include potato strips, vegetables such as green beans, peas and corn, and fresh-cut produce.

Jim Ruff, who was previously Key’s vice president of research and development, is general manager of the group, according to the release.
