The Miami law firm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg PA has launched a food safety monitoring service.

Attorneys developed the concept in response to the Food Safety Modernization Act, according to a March 28 news release.

Subscriptions are $1,000 per month and include:

  • weekly news updates;
  • monthly summaries of Food and Drug Administration;
  • instant alerts regarding time-sensitive announcements; and
  • a copy of the book “The Executive’s Guide to New Food Safety Laws: How the Food Safety Modernization Act Impacts Your Business” by James T. O'Reilly.

O’Reilly is former chief FDA counsel at Procter & Gamble Co. and now heads the FDA Committee of the American Bar Association. He, along with Edgar Asebey-Birkholm and Edward Steiner, will be the primary writers for the service.
