The National Mango Board will hold a virtual meeting to discuss a proposed assessment increase from a half-cent to three-quarters of a cent per pound of mangoes sold in the U.S.
The Orlando, Fla.-based board will conduct the meeting at 4 p.m. EST Dec. 1, according to a news release.
Board officials will discuss how the assessment, proposed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, would be used to expand marketing and research.
This will be the fourth virtual meeting hosted by the board this year. Others focused on marketing, research and board programs.
