Two new HarvestMark offices are opening in Salinas, Calif., and Hermosillo, Mexico, according to a news release from parent company YottaMark Inc. in Redwood City, Calif.
Having marked the addition of its 200th HarvestMark customer in February, YottaMark’s release said the traceability system is used by more than 2,500 farms from Canada to Argentina. HarvestMark codes already have been used on more than 2.3 billion produce packages to help with traceability and other issues, according to information on the company’s website.
In their announcement of the two new HarvestMark offices, YottaMark officials said that the need for traceability solutions and HarvestMark’s response to that need resulted rapid growth.
“We’re honored that HarvestMark has been adopted by hundreds of shippers across thousands of farms,” said J. Scott Carr, YottaMark president.
“The HarvestMark business has grown rapidly in both the Salinas Valley and across Mexico. By enhancing our resources in these regions, we can be a better partner to our customers, delivering even greater value from HarvestMark traceability.”
The office in Hermosillo, Mexico, is scheduled to open in April as the first office of YottaMark’s recently formed HarvestMark de México subsidiary. Both new locations will offer program management, system integration and sales support to regional growers and shippers.
The office in Mexico will provide services across that country, including local support in the Culiacán, Sinaloa region. The Salinas office is at 1588 Moffett Street, Suite A, Salinas, Calif., 93905.
