(Dec. 10) A recently issued federal permit will allow for a new California-Mexico border crossing in Otay Mesa to accommodate projected trade growth, according to a news release from California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s office.

The facility is expected to be built a couple of miles east of the existing Otay Mesa crossing.

"This is one more step in our continued effort to rebuild and expand the infrastructure needed to accommodate increased international trade with Mexico and other countries around the world," Schwarzenegger said in the release.
