Food safety company NSF International has earned ISO 22000 accreditation.

NSF received the accreditation from the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board after an application and auditing process, according to a news release.

ISO 22000 is a food safety program that has the same foundation as the Quality Management Standard ISO 9001, but focuses more on food safety management and includes Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points principles.

NSF must undergo an annual audit to keep its accreditation, according to the release.
