Meyer Tomato LLC, King City, Calif., has agreed to settle an Arizona state lawsuit with Nogales, Ariz.-based Expor Packer LLC.

Expor Packer claimed that Meyer Tomato failed to pay a finder’s fee after Expor introduced Meyer Tomato to Mexican grower Eco Agro and negotiated on their behalf for the 2007-08 season, according to Veneranda Aguirre, Expor’s attorney.

Expor claimed Meyer Tomato promised to pay Eco Agro’s portion of the finder’s fee out of the grower’s advance but failed to do so, Aguirre said.

Meyer Tomato agreed to pay Expor $4,500, avoiding trial, according to a court document.
