On Aug. 26, the U.S. Department of Agriculture will feature Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act information in a free Web seminar, hosted by Red Book Credit Services.

The seminar will be led by Karla Whalen, chief of the USDA’s PACA branch, at 1 p.m. CST. Whalen will describe the fundamentals of PACA, how it protects the produce industry and how it is carried out. She will then open the seminar to questions, which will be answered by present USDA experts. It is open to everyone, especially those interested in trading between states or countries.

RBCS requests anyone interested in attending the seminar contact Olga Kehmeier at okehmeier@rbcs.com to register. The seminar is part of a series hosted by RBCS and led by the USDA.
