El Segundo, Calif.-based Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets is offering multi-buy discounts on a variety of products, including some fresh produce items.

The new promotion, announced April 15, is designed to allow consumers the opportunities if they buy larger quantities, according to a release from Fresh & Easy, whose parent company is England-based Tesco.

The products in the promotion rotate every few weeks, according to the release. One of the products included in the initial offering is a four-count of apples — fuji, red delicious, granny smith and gala — two for $3.

“Customers are telling us they are increasingly looking for way to stretch their budgets because times are tight,” Simon Uwins, chief marketing officer at Fresh & Easy, said in the release. “Fresh & Easy’s new multi-buy promotion will help customers save when they buy more, so they can feed their families for less money.”

Consumers can also save 20% when they buy three or more Fresh & Easy prepared meals labeled with a “Buy More and Save” sticker, according to the release. The com-pany also introduced larger-sized freshly prepared meals that feed four people for $8.

In January, Fresh & Easy introduced 98-cent packs of produce. The company reported in February that produce sales increased 11% after offering the 98-cent packs.
