Romaine Misionero Vegetables plans December salad kit launch By Tom Burfield May 17, 2011 | 12:18 pm EDT Comments Print Misionero Vegetables, Gonzales, Calif., is planning a âsoft launchâ in December of its new Garden Cuts salad kits, said Dan Canales, vice president of sales and marketing. Consumers can choose from several varieties, including butter lettuce, cosmopolitan, iceberg wedge and romaine leaves. Kits include dressing and extras like toasted almonds, cheddar cheese, dried tart cherries and bacon bits. Select retailers will offer the kits starting in December, and a full launch is planned after the first of the year. The salad kits are an extension of the companyâs Garden Cuts clamshell containers of washed and trimmed products. Misionero also is offering more consolidation services for selected customers in Yuma, Ariz., in response to customer requests, Canales said.
