Ocean Mist Farms is offering its first sweepstakes to consumers to help boost sales of fresh artichokes, expected to hit peak volume in April and May.
The âEasy to Make, Easy to Winâ sweepstakes began March 28 and runs through May 6, said Kori Tuggle, director of marketing and business development at Castroville, Calif.-based Ocean Mist.
Marketing efforts are directing shoppers to the companyâs new mobile website, m.oceanmist.com, to enter the contest. The grand prize is $10,000. In addition, during each of the promotionâs six weeks, 10 entries will win a case of field-fresh artichokes.
Ocean Mist is promoting the sweepstakes with in-store signage, a display contest and stickers on the handles of all its club-store bag packages, Tuggle said. Retailers can order point-of-sale materials online at www.oceanmist.com/html/trade/point-of-sale.aspx.
The company is also adding a quick-response code to all point-of-sale and packaging. Ocean Mist is also advertising the sweepstakes in Facebook ads.
Ocean Mist hopes to increase membership in its Artichokes Aficionados club through the sweepstakes.
