Two Democratic lawmakers from Tulsa, Okla., Reps. Seneca Scott and Jabar Shumate, will sponsor a study this fall that will look at incentives to lure supermarkets to areas in the state where they are needed to sell affordable, locally grown produce, the Tulsa World reported.

"I hope it can be determined if additional supermarkets are needed in certain areas, and we can partner with our wholesalers to make that happen," said Ron Edgmon, president and chief executive officer of the Oklahoma Grocers Association, in the article.
