Sprouts Farmers Market opened its 33rd location June 5 in Fort Collins, Colo.
This was the second of 11 planned openings in 2009 for the chain, which focuses on organic and natural foods at a discount price.
The Fort Collins area was ideal for expansion, said Doug Sanders, president and chief operating officer, in a news release.
“As we review the Fort Collins area, we recognize the need to provide access to healthy and natural foods at a great price,” he said.
Sprouts has stores in Arizona, California, Texas and Colorado.
It plans to open stores in Aurora and Boulder, Colo.; and Austin, Cedar Hill, McKinney, Rollingwood, Round Rock and Sunset Valley, Texas.
