R.J. Andrus, senior field manager of Lewisville, Idaho-based Idahoan Foods, has been appointed chairman of the Idaho Potato Commission.

His selection was announced Sept. 24 at the annual Idaho Grower Shippers Association’s industry breakfast in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Jim Tiede, owner of Tiede Farms in American Falls, Idaho, was named vice chairman.

Both men were already commissioners. Both will serve one-year terms in the leadership roles.

The IPC is comprised of nine commissioners representing potato growers, shippers and processors. The other seven commissioners are Mark Coombs of DC Land; Boyd Foster of Vista Valley Ag and Foster Company; Jeff Harper of Flying H Farms; Dan Moss of Moss Farms; Paul Saras of J.R. Simplot Company; Alan Taylor of Taylor Produce; and Shawn Walters of Walters Produce.
