(Oct. 18) Jacobs Farm/Del Cabo Inc., Pescadero, Calif., has relocated its Southern California warehouse into a building well-suited for the organic-only grower-shipper.

Jacobs moved about five minutes from its previous location near the terminal market in Los Angeles, said Marina Pace, marketing manager.

Jacobs/Del Cabo moved Sept. 1 and acquired a Vernon address.

The company occupies more than half of a warehouse, which once served as a Whole Foods distribution center.

At the new location, Jacobs/ Del Cabo has more cooler space to store its products that require different temperature settings.

Pace declined to say how big the Jacobs Farm/Del Cabo’s new quarters are.

She said one asset of the new facility is having a cool room to pack herbs — a major product for the company.

Jacobs/Del Cabo operates a similar warehouse in South San Francisco near the terminal market. The company is headquartered in Pescadero, and its sales operation is in Santa Cruz.

The Vernon location will operate in sync with the South San Francisco warehouse, which packs more products, Pace said.
