John Boskovich, who co-founded Boskovich Farms and served as a vice president of the company, died Sept. 7. He was 84.
Boskovich retired from Oxnard, Calif.-based Boskovich Farms in 2000, said Lindsay Martinez, the companyâs marketing director.
After serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II, Boskovich returned to his home in the San Fernando Valley and started Boskovich Bros. Farms in 1946 with his brothers Phil and George.
Boskovich also became known for his âBoskoâs Barbeque,â a tailgate party at University of Southern California home football games. Proceeds from the parties were donated to the universityâs marching band.
Boskovich is survived by his brother Phil, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
