Ready Pac Foods, Irwindale, Calif., is encouraging consumers to try new recipe combinations, said Tristan Kieva, director of marketing.

In partnership with Nature Sweet Cherub Tomatoes, Ready Pac recently used its proprietary bag banner to share coupons and use ideas with consumers in Southern California. It’s not the only such partnership for Ready Pac.

“Other companies are providing consumers with information on lettuce flavors and very specifically what is in the bag to assist in selecting just the right salad for their usage occasion,” Kieva said.

Ready Pac has another kind of partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District. The company is providing fresh and wet salads for the district’s I’m In program, aimed at fighting childhood obesity.
