Mission Produce Inc., Oxnard, Calif., has teamed up with Rick Bayless, chef, author and owner of Frontera Grill restaurant in Chicago, for its new Frontera-brand all-natural guacamole mix, said Ross Wileman, Mission’s vice president of sales and marketing.

The mix contains tomatillos, lime juice, cilantro and seasoning — just add a couple of avocados and you’ll have “instantaneous guacamole,” Wileman said.

The product was introduced earlier this year, and the company is continuing to build consumer awareness, he said.
