(June 5) M&M Farms Inc., Miami, has launched a marketing communications initiative designed to improve awareness of its M&M Tropicals brand.

M&M has hired consultant Mark Vertrees of TFM International Inc., Mulberry, Fla., as marketing director and plans to exhibit at the Produce Marketing Association’s 2008 Fresh Summit in Orlando, Fla., in October, the company said in a news release.

M&M also has redesigned its logo and plans to roll out a series of print ads to tie in with its exhibit and its tropical fruit promotions.
