Florida agriculture leaders are seeking nominations for this yearâs Woman of the Year in Agriculture award.
In its 26th year, the award honors women who have made outstanding contributions to Florida agriculture, according to a news release from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Tallahassee.
A panel comprised of Florida agriculture people is set to judge nominations.
Nominations are due Nov. 1.
The award is schedule to be presented during a Feb. 10 luncheon at the 2011 Florida State Fair in Tampa.
In a news release, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson said the award focuses on the vital role of women in Florida agriculture and encourages other women to become involved in agriculture businesses.
