Through a new online tool, Asiafruit Congress and Asia Fruit Logistica, scheduled for Sept. 2-4 in Hong Kong, will allow registrants to the conferences to learn all they need to know about the companies and exhibitors on display at the event.
Virtual Market Place, the online tool, profiles companies from 29 countries spanning five continents.
“The VMP profiles all the companies exhibiting at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica,” Gerald Lamusse, managing director of Global Produce Events GmbH, organizers of Asia Fruit Logistica, said in a release. “It’s an excellent tool to help you plan your visit to Hong Kong this year as it lists the products of all exhibitors and enables you to connect each exhibitor directly. That makes it very useful to help you set up your business meetings in advance.”
Alexandra Walker, marketing manager for Asiafruit Congress, said about 600 are expected to attend the Congress, which is sponsored by Asiafruit Magazine. And more than 3,500 visitors are expected to attend Asia Fruit Logistica.
“Congress will be held in the mornings, and then the Fruit Logistica trade show is in the afternoons,” Walker said. “It’s a good partnership, one complementing the other.”
Visitors to Asia Fruit Logistica will find more than 200 exhibitors from around the world. A couple highlights of the Asiafruit Congress will be speaking engagements by George Singleton of Publicis Worldwide speaking on marketing to the Asian consumer and Phil Morris of Chaoda Green Leaf and Bill Gerlach of Melissa’s World Variety Produce presenting on the opportunities and challenges they see in sourcing fresh produce out of Asia.
