(July 9) LIVERMORE, Calif. — Chalk another one up for iTradeNetwork.

After a year in which the company already has signed deals with such industry heavy hitters as A. Duda & Sons Inc., Oviedo, Fla.; DNE World Fruit Sales, Fort Pierce, Fla.; and Sunkist Growers Inc., Sherman Oaks, Calif., another big name has joined the roster.

The Oppenheimer Group, Vancouver, British Columbia, recently submitted a purchase order for iTradeNetwork’s procurement and logistics platforms, which will be integrated with Oppenheimer’s existing internal legacy system over the next couple of months.

Rob Bonavito, chief executive officer of iTradeNetwork, said the move represents the latest in a widespread adoption of iTN’s technology throughout the industry.

“We’re gaining momentum,” he said.

“We process in excess of 30,000 purchase orders per week. We’re seeing a 50-60% efficiency improvement rate from our integrated customers.”

Bonavito said the company is helping move more than 20,000 loads a month through its logistics capabilities and has signed up a diverse array of clients, including retailers, brokers, distributors and suppliers.

“It’s really coming together,” he said. “We’re seeing huge productivity increases.”

Of the companies that signed up with iTN earlier in the year, only Sunkist opted for the procurement and logistics platforms.

The other companies purchased iTN’s distributed integration server, which integrates their existing system with iTradeNetwork’s system of more than 1,700 customers.

In addition, the company has released a new module, the Request for Quote Analyzer, which was developed in cooperation with many of its customers.

The analyzer uses the existing request-for-quote process on iTradeNetwork’s trading platform to give specific price quotes for specific items. The system allows price quotes to be created independently by vendors, resulting in a report that provides an independent, auditable listing of high and low prices for a given item or line of items during a specified period of time.

“It offers price discovery and tracking with the click of a mouse,” Bonavito said.
