(June 7) East Coast retailer Pathmark Stores Inc., Carteret, N.J., has retained the retail division of New York-based creative agency Colemanbrandworx to develop a prototype for Pathmark's new strategic vision.

Colemanbrandworx announced it would work with the grocer to strengthen the firm's overall perishable foods business, using the concept of "Fresh."

CBX Retail will create a branded in-store communications system, fixture plans, exterior design, new lighting and other special effects.

Pathmark will likely unveil the new prototype in about six months, CBX said.
