APPALACHIAN DISTRICT (MD-PA-VA-WV) — Shipments (0-1-3) — Movement expected to increase. Trading fairly slow. Prices no grade marks unwashed 2½-inch and up lower, others unchanged. Dry weather conditions continue to affect production. Various yellow-flesh varieties mostly redhaven star fire and john boy. Half-bushel cartons 2½- to 2¾-inch including 2½-inch and up mostly $13-13.50; no grade marks unwashed 2½-inch up mostly $13.



MICHIGAN — Shipments (0-1-2) — Movement was expected to increase seasonally with moderate movement expected first week of August. Trading moderate. Prices unchanged. Unofficial f.o.b. prices for July 26: half-bushel cartons various yellow-flesh varieties 2½ up mostly $14-15. Early varieties include stellar series, PF series, few redhaven. Initial harvest of redhaven variety was expected to begin the week of Aug. 2. Most of early harvest moving to farm markets in half-bushel baskets and 10-bushel pallet bins.



YAKIMA VALLEY AND WENATCHEE DISTRICT, WASH. — Shipments (0-0-2) — Movement was expected pick up the week of July 26 with reportable volume expected by the week of Aug. 2. FIRST REPORT for 2010 crop peaches.
