(Dec. 16, 4:42 p.m.) Gordon Robertson has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Sun World International LLC.

Robertson is responsible for all U.S. and international sales and marketing activities for the Bakersfield, Calif.-based grower-shipper, according to a news release.

“Gordon brings strong food industry knowledge, a passion for managing sales professionals and a desire for Sun World to exceed its customers’ and consumers’ expectations,” chief marketing officer David Marguleas said in the release.

Prior to joining Sun World, Robertson was vice president of joint business planning for Campbell Soup Co., where he had been 20 years in various sales and trade marketing management roles.

Robertson succeeds Mike Aiton, who has been named vice president of retail merchandising, according to the release.

“Our customers will benefit from Mike’s creativity and rich knowledge of Sun World’s distinctive product line and Gordon’s passion and knowledge of the food industry,” Marguleas said in the release. “We believe these moves will position Sun World for greater success in the future with our customers.”
