Taylor & Fulton hires salesman

McCue

Steve McCue, who joined Palmetto, Fla.-based Taylor & Fulton Jan. 31, most recently worked for six months for Loxahatchee, Fla.-based J&J Produce Inc.

Before that, he worked for several years at Cincinnati-based Gentile Bros. Co., where his father, Steve McCue Sr., heads the tomato department.

“I know his dad real well, and I met Steve through him and was very impressed,” said Ed Angrisani, a Taylor & Fulton partner. “I just thought he was the right fit, and after three or four weeks working here, I really think he’s the right fit.”

McCue said he started packing tomatoes as a teenager growing up in Atlanta. Joining Taylor & Fulton, he said, was a “fantastic opportunity.”

“It’s a company with a great reputation, and I have a lot of respect for the ownership,” he said.

Angrisani said McCue would be his “right-hand man” while he learns the ropes at Taylor & Fulton.

“I think the guy’s got a tremendous future,” Angrisani said.
