Theresa Zuroick, former public relations manager for the Produce Marketing Association, Newark, Del., has joined the Westlake Village, Calif. office of Tampa, Fla.-based Sahlman Williams as an account executive.
âWe are absolutely thrilled to bring Theresa on board because she is tremendously knowledgeable and passionate about the produce industry,â Gary Caloroso, vice president and West Coast office director for Sahlman Williams, said in a news release.
Zuroick will be based in Bakersfield, Calif., Caloroso said, but will be in the Westlake Village office at least once a week.
Zuroickâs San Joaquin Valley base will put her close to Bakersfield-based Wm. Bolthouse Farms Inc., who retained Sahlman Williams about a month ago, Caloroso said.
âI am really happy to join Sahlman Williams because we share the same passion for the produce industry and its people,â Zuroick said in the release. âI am very fortunate that by accident my career path has led me to an industry that I have grown to love.â
Zuroick was with PMA for five years and gained valuable experience in media relations, promotional events and crisis communications in addition to representing the association at industry events, the release said.
Sahlman Williams is committed to serving clients in the food industry, Caloroso said.
Zuriockâs addition to the staff comes just 16 months after Sahlman Williams opened its West Coast office. At that time, company president John Williams said the cross-country expansion was in response to the firmâs growing roster of food clients.
