(Sept. 29, 11:27 a.m.) Import/export specialist Vanguard International Inc., Issaquah, Wash., has promoted one manager to a senior management position and added another senior manager.

Tim Clark, a 14-year Vanguard veteran who has overseen many of the company’s sales and procurement programs in Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa and the U.S., has been promoted to vice president of global sales and logistics, said Craig Stauffer, chief executive officer.

After a two-year hiatus from the company, Will Mehrten is back as vice president of global procurement and business development.

In his first, 13-year stint at Vanguard, Mehrten worked as manager of U.S. export sales and procurement.

Another important member of the senior management team, Stauffer said, is Keri Falkner, who has worked at Vanguard for 12 years. Faulkner, the company’s vice president of finance and operations, also has worked as accounting manager and controller.

Vanguard sources produce from around the world and exports U.S.-grown product. The company’s top commodities include apples, pears, citrus, grapes, stone fruit, mangoes and kiwifruit.
