The Washington Apple Education Foundation is accepting applications for a new scholarship sponsored by the Oneonta Trading Corporation.
The foundation will accept applications up until July 20 for the Oneonta/Cooprider scholarship, which will be awarded for the first time this fall. The scholarship honors Wenatchee Valley College educator Sandy Cooprider and the Oneonta Trading Corporation's commitment to tree fruit industry families. To be eligible, students must participate in college-level athletics and have parents employed in farm and warehouse positions in Washington's tree fruit industry.
Four scholarships, each for $3,000, are being offered this year.
Applications can be located under scholarships, at www.waef.org.
