(Oct. 9) The Western Growers Association, Irvine, Calif., has a new logo to match its new direction.

The switch comes on the heels of the retirement announcement of a longtime WGA executive and the restructuring of its insurance and association departments under one leader.

Don Dressler, president of WGA’s Insurance Services, will retire Jan. 1. Beginning in 2003, the association’s association and insurance activities will be under Tom Nassif, its president and chief executive officer.

The logo change is the WGA’s first since the 1950s.

“The new logo signifies that we are a forward-looking agri-business entity staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing industry,” Nassif said in a news release.
