(March 1) Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. will get a new look, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times reported.

It is expected to take about seven years to change the pink and turquoise decor to darker earth tones in all 522 of the Jacksonville, Fla.-based company's stores throughout five states.

The new look will place fresh produce and other perishables in a more alluring light and do away with aisle obstacles, the Times reported.

The first remodeled unit is expected to debut in March in Jacksonville, and 35 others should be completed this year.
