A World Bank agribusiness specialist is scheduled to speak at Western Growers’ annual convention Nov. 14-17 in Hawaii.

John Lamb, the senior agribusiness advisor in the World Bank’s Anchor Agriculture and Rural Development Department, will speak at the Irvine, Calif.-based association’s 85th annual convention, according to an association news release.

Lamb, who has more than 35 years of experience in international agricultural development and trade, will discuss genetically modified organisms, environmental sustainability, technology and other issues concerning the direction of agriculture over the next 40 years.
