The California Department of Pesticide Regulation has registered Trellis herbicide from Dow AgroSciences for use on grapes and tree nuts.

The product contains the active ingredient isoxaben, the same active ingredient as in Gallery T&V herbicide, according to a news release.

Gallery has been registered for non-bearing trees and vines since 1998.

Trellis will replace Gallery beginning this fall.

Trellis is labeled for use on bearing and non-bearing tree nuts and grapes as well as non-bearing stone and pome crops.

The herbicide controls more than 90 mostly broadleaf weeds, including clover, malva, morningglory, willowherb, and glyphosate-resistant fleabane and marestail.

Trellis is strictly a pre-emergent and won't control existing weeds.
