The Environmental Protection Agency has expanded the label for Evito 480 SC fungicide from Arysta LifeScience, Cary, N.C., to now include in-furrow applications to potatoes.

The fungicide contains the active ingredient fluoxastrobin and was previously registered for use on fruiting vegetables, peanuts, corn and soybeans, according to a news release.

Envito controls Rhizoctonia solani, the fungus responsible for black scurf, which can stunt plants, reduce stands, reduce tuber number and size, and cause misshapen tubers.
