The California Department of Pesticide Regulation has approved the addition of several crops to the label for Koverall fungicide from Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based Cheminova Inc.
They include broccoli, cabbage and lettuce, according to a news release.
In broccoli and cabbage, the fungicide targets alternaria leaf spot, according to the label. In lettuce, it is active against downy mildew.
The broad-spectrum fungicide contains the active ingredient, mancozeb, according to the label.
Previously it had been registered in California and federally for fruiting vegetables, cucurbits, pome fruit, almonds, tropical fruit, root vegetables, bulb vegetables and potatoes, among other crops.
