The Produce Safety Alliance, a collaborative project among Cornell University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration, has launched a new website at

The project's goal is to provide standardized education and training to the produce industry and associated groups on good agricultural practices, according to a news release.

In addition, the group wants to develop standardized training and educational programs to help the produce industry implement FDA's produce safety regulations.

As part of its efforts, the group is seeking produce industry representatives to join one of 10 working committees.
