RedLine Solutions Inc., is partnering with Roambee Corp., to offer a product providing real-time monitoring of fresh produce shipments.
The Santa Clara, Calif.-based RedLine is in a partnership with the Santa Clara tracking services supplier Roambee to provide customers with tracking and monitoring systems.
RedLine offers fresh produce customers in-transit visibility and condition monitoring as well as traceability and inventory management products and services while Roambee provides flexible shipment tracking systems, according to a news release.
“Fresh produce companies have large activity swings based on the seasonality of their products,” Sanjay Sharma, Roambee’s chief executive officer, said in the release. “We feel that Roambee’s pay-as-you-go service is uniquely positioned to provide real-time monitoring to produce companies in a cost-effective manner. With zero investment in hardware, our clients only pay for tracking when they actually track something.”
Roambee’s portfolio concentrates on shipment tracking services not requiring ownership of expensive devices or ongoing monthly subscriptions, according to the release.
