There's still time to nominate an industry leader for a Potato Industry Award.
The deadline isn't until Dec. 1, and anybody can submit a nomination.
The recipient will be announced at the NPC's annual award banquet, Jan. 10, in San Antonio.
The Potato Man of the Year award recognizes somebody who has gone above and beyond the call of duty during 2013 further the potato industry.
This may have been somebody who spent countless hours representing the industry on trade missions or in front of regulatory agencies. Or it may be somebody who devoted a significant amount of time promoting the virtues of potatoes to consumers.
Past winners include Chris Voigt of the Washington State Potato Commission and Justin Dagen, former NPC president.
The Potato Man for All Seasons is a lifetime achievement award that recognizes someone who has spent his or her life bettering the potato industry.
Past recipients include Ben Kudwa, who recently retired from the Michigan Potato Industry Commission and Allen Floyd, a Washington grower-shipper and former chair of the state's potato commission.
