A study by University of Callifornia, Davis, researchers looked at the 10 most frequently detected pesticide residues on each of 12 commodities.

Their findings: All were well below chonic reference doses.

They also found that exposure to the commonly detected pesticicides "pose negligible risks to consumers," and that substituting organic forms does not appreciably reduce consumer risks.

In other words, the "Dirty Dozen," as the Environmental Working Group dubs the produce group, aren't dirty at all.
