%img|rIf you're a tomato grower and want to learn about two emerging viral diseases, the Plant Management Network has launched a free webinar on the subject.
Titled "Tomato Chlorosis Virus and Tomato Infectious Chlorosis Virus," it is narrated by Bill Wintermantel, an Agricultural Research Service research plant pathologist in Salinas, according to a news release.
The two viral diseases are transmitted by whiteflies and are of importance to both greenhouse and open-field production.
Wintermantel will cover symptoms, scouting and how to improve management and limit infection.
The 24-minute presentation will be available through Aug. 31.
The webinar is part of the Focus on Tomato educational Web series.
The nonprofit Plant Management Network is a collaborative effort among the American Phytopathological Society, the American Society of Agronomy and the Crop Science Society of America.
