Gowan Co. LLC of Yuma, Ariz., has launched an improved formulation of Aza-Direct biopesticide.
The product's active ingredident is azadiractin, an extract of the neem tree seed.
The new formulation now has a shelf life of more than a year, according to a news release.
In the past, earlier formulations were subject to continued degredation once formulated.
The insecticide is broad spectrum and controls a host of chewing and sucking insects, including aphids, stink bugs, peach twig borers, thrips, weevils, scale insects, psyllids, mites, mealybugs, leafminers and lygus.
