The Environmental Protection Agency has registered Topguard fungicide from Cheminova of Research Triangle Park, N.C.

The product—which contains the active ingredient flutriafol, a triazole fungicide—was labeled for soybeans and apples, according to a news release. It controls soybean rust, powdery mildew in apples and apple scab.

In apples, it should be tankmixed with another fungicide, such as dithane or Captan.
