Emeryville, Calif.-based PureSense Environmental Inc. has introduced the latest update of its Irrigation Manager software—version 4.0.
The latest version offers several new features, including potential evapotranspiration, or ET. Version 4 also has a planning and scheduling function so users can create a water budget at the beginning of the year based on anticipated water deliveries.
In addition, the planning and scheduling tools include the plant growth stage throughout the season as one of the variables to determine water use.
Users are now able to see real-time information on irrigation system operation and actual inches of applied water. This helps in tracking water use and communicating that to irrigators.
With the PureSense Mobile Manager, users can monitor irrigations with any PDA or cell phone that has a Web browser.
