Perennial weed infestations—those that come up year after year—can cause perennial headaches for tomato growers.
Site preparation and managing the weeds before planting the crop can go a long way to help weed control during the season.
Steve Weller, a Purdue University weed scientist, leads a free, 47-minute educational webinar on the subject titled "Managing Perennial Weeds in Tomatoes," according to a news release.
The webinar is part of the Focus on Tomato educational series.
The series is produced by the Plant Management Network, a non-profit collaboration of the American Phytopathological Society, American Society of Agronomy and Crop Science Society of America.
