The discovery of spotted wing drosophila and the brown marmorated stink bug in Michigan may disrupt integrated pest management programs for blueberries and raspberries.


These insects have been added to the "key pest" list.

Although the brown marmorated stink bug has not yet been found in blueberries or other small fruit crops in Michigan, those crops are major hosts, according to Celeste Welty of Ohio State University.
