The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency is taking applications from qualified orchardists and nursery tree growers to provide financial assistance to replant or rehabilitate lost trees, bushes or vines.

The plants must have been lost to a natural diaster occuring on or after Jan. 1, 2008, and before Oct. 1, 2011. Some diseases are now included under natural disaster.

The funding was authorized by the 2008 Farm Bill.
