The U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts that the harvested acres of 11 select fresh-market vegetables will decline by 1 percent from last year.


Among the decliners are snap beans, broccoli, sweet corn and bell peppers


At the same time, the USDA expects planted acres for cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery and head lettuce to increase.
